Medically reviewed by Dr. Balaji Krishnan, MBBS · Updated September 2026
Bonebase K2 Tablet contains Calcitriol (0.25mcg) + Calcium (250mg) + Zinc (7.5mg) + Vitamin K2-7 (50mcg) + Magnesium (50mg). It belongs to the Calcium supplement with vitamins D3 and K2 (MK-7) class of medicines.
Calcium provides essential mineral for bone formation and maintenance. Vitamin D3 increases intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate. Vitamin K2-7 activates osteocalcin to help bind calcium into bones and may reduce deposition of calcium in soft tissues.
Tablet for oral use. Take as directed by physician, usually once daily after food with water. Avoid taking at the same time as iron, levothyroxine or certain antibiotics; keep a 2–4 hour gap.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of BoNebase K2 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
An overdose of this medicine may be harmful — seek medical advice immediately. It can raise blood calcium dangerously, causing thirst, frequent urination, vomiting, confusion and kidney damage. It can cause vomiting, stomach pain and, with some minerals, damage over the longer term. It can cause vomiting and stomach pain, and with iron can be dangerous, especially in children. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
Most side effects of Bonebase K2 are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Use with caution in kidney disease, history of kidney stones, hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism or severe dehydration. Do not exceed recommended dose; excess calcium/vitamin D may cause hypercalcemia (nausea, vomiting, confusion, increased urination). Patients on blood thinners (warfarin) should consult doctor before using vitamin K2 products. If you have sarcoidosis or other granulomatous disease, use only under medical supervision.
Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Your doctor will confirm this medicine is suitable for you. Not for people with a high blood calcium level, or with certain kidney stones.
Warfarin/other vitamin K antagonists (reduced anticoagulant effect), Thiazide diuretics (increased risk of hypercalcemia), Digoxin (arrhythmia risk with hypercalcemia), Levothyroxine (reduced absorption), Tetracyclines/quinolones/bisphosphonates (reduced absorption), Orlistat/cholestyramine (reduced vitamin D absorption)
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
Consider taking BoNebase K2 Tablet with a meal, preferably one that contains some healthy fats, to enhance the absorption. Take it regularly and at the same time each day to help maintain steady nutrient levels and support long-term bone health. Stay physically active with regular exercises like walking, light jogging, or resistance training to strengthen bones and improve calcium utilization. Get moderate sun exposure, around 10–15 minutes a few times a week, to support natural vitamin D synthesis unless advised otherwise. Drink plenty of water to reduce the risk of constipation and kidney stones. Limit excessive salt intake, as that can increase calcium loss from the body and weaken bones over time.
