Clopilet Tablet is used to prevent blood clots. It decreases the chances of having another heart attack or stroke.
Clopilet Tablet is an antiplatelet medication. It works by preventing the platelets from sticking together, thereby decreasing the formation of harmful blood clots. This lowers the chance of heart attack or stroke.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Clopilet Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Clopilet as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Clopilet than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Clopilet are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Clopilet. Some combinations can change how Clopilet works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Clopilet below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
You have been prescribed Clopilet Tablet to help prevent blood clots. For best results, take it at the same time every day. Clopilet Tablet increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails or toenails or using sharp objects. Do not discontinue using the medicine without consulting your doctor as this may increase your chances of having another heart attack or stroke. If you are scheduled to undergo a surgery or dental treatment, you may be asked to stop taking Clopilet Tablet temporarily.
