Dapagliflozin (10mg) + Metformin (500mg)
Type 2 diabetes mellitus: to improve glycaemic control in adults, usually when diet and exercise alone are not enough; may be used alone or with other antidiabetic medicines as prescribed.
Dapagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor that lowers blood glucose by increasing glucose excretion in urine. Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity, helping the body use insulin better.
Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, preferably with meals to reduce stomach upset (especially due to metformin). Swallow whole with water; do not crush/chew unless advised. Maintain adequate hydration; follow diet and exercise advice.

For type 2 diabetes only (not for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis). Risk of dehydration/low blood pressure—drink enough fluids, especially in hot weather or if on diuretics. Dapagliflozin can increase risk of genital/urinary infections; seek care for pain/burning urination, fever, or genital itching/discharge. Rare but serious: ketoacidosis (even with near-normal sugars), severe UTI, and Fournier’s gangrene—seek urgent care for nausea/vomiting, abdominal pain, rapid breathing, confusion, or genital/perineal pain/swelling/fever. Metformin rarely causes lactic acidosis, higher risk with severe kidney disease, dehydration, sepsis, hypoxia, heavy alcohol use; kidney function should be assessed before and during therapy. Stop temporarily before major surgery and around iodinated contrast procedures as advised by doctor. Monitor blood glucose; hypoglycaemia may occur if used with insulin/sulfonylureas.
