Uses of Dapcard-M 10/500 Tab

Type 2 diabetes mellitus: to improve glycaemic control in adults, usually when diet and exercise alone are not enough; may be used alone or with other antidiabetic medicines as prescribed.

• •Improves insulin sensitivity and reduces hepatic glucose production
• •Promotes urinary glucose excretion and may aid weight reduction
• •Lowers risk of hypoglycaemia when not combined with insulin/sulfonylurea

How it works

Dapagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor that lowers blood glucose by increasing glucose excretion in urine. Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity, helping the body use insulin better.

Directions for use

Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, preferably with meals to reduce stomach upset (especially due to metformin). Swallow whole with water; do not crush/chew unless advised. Maintain adequate hydration; follow diet and exercise advice.
