How Deviry 10 Tablet works
Medroxyprogesterone is a synthetic progesterone (progestin). It corrects progesterone deficiency, stabilizes the uterine lining (endometrium) and, after stopping the medicine, withdrawal bleeding may occur to help regulate the menstrual cycle.
How to take Deviry 10 Tablet
Tablet to be taken by mouth as prescribed by the doctor. Can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Dose and duration depend on the condition (e.g., amenorrhoea or abnormal bleeding); do not self-start or stop without medical advice.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Missed dose and overdose
If you miss a dose
Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.
If you take too much
An overdose of this medicine may cause nausea, vomiting and withdrawal bleeding. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

May cause irregular bleeding especially initially. Stop and seek urgent care for symptoms of thrombosis (leg swelling/pain, chest pain, sudden breathlessness) or jaundice. Use caution when driving if dizzy.
Do not take Deviry if
Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with a history of blood clots, certain hormone-sensitive cancers, or active liver disease. Several are contraindicated in pregnancy.
Interactions with other medicines
Enzyme inducers may reduce effect: rifampicin/rifabutin, phenytoin, carbamazepine, phenobarbital/primidone, topiramate, St John’s wort; some antiretrovirals (e.g., efavirenz) may alter levels. May affect glucose control with antidiabetic medicines. Consult doctor/pharmacist for all concomitant medicines.
