How Evadiol Tablet works

Evadiol Tablet contains a medication called estrogen (female sex hormone). It works by replacing estrogen that is normally produced by the body. In women who are undergoing or have attained menopause, it prevents symptoms such as hot flushes, vaginal burning, dryness, and itching, caused due to lack of estrogen.

How to take Evadiol Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Evadiol Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Evadiol Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Evadiol than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Evadiol Tablet

Most side effects of Evadiol are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

How to store Evadiol Tablet

Store Evadiol below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

You have been prescribed Evadiol Tablet as a part of hormone replacement therapy to relieve symptoms of menopause. It may also be used for preventing osteoporosis in postmenopausal women who are at high risk of fractures. Take it at the same time everyday to help you remember to take it. Inform your doctor if you experience any unusual vaginal bleeding or spotting, abnormal vaginal discharge or vaginal discomfort while taking Evadiol Tablet. It may increase the risk of breast cancer. Have regular breast examinations. Stop taking this medicine and inform your doctor immediately if you notice unexplained swelling and pain in your limbs, shortness of breath, chest pain, or changes in vision. These could be symptoms of a blood clot in a vein.
