It belongs to the Polyherbal formulation (Ayurvedic/Herbal) class of medicines.
Liv 52 is a hepatoprotective polyherbal formulation. Its ingredients are traditionally used to support hepatocyte protection, antioxidant activity, and bile flow, which may help improve liver function and appetite.
Oral syrup. Shake well before use. Take the measured dose using a cup/spoon as directed on the label or by a physician; commonly taken 1–2 times daily, with or after food. Do not exceed recommended dose.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Liv as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Liv than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Liv are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Herbal product; do not use as a substitute for prescribed treatment of serious liver disease. Consult a doctor if symptoms persist/worsen, in pregnancy/breastfeeding, in children, or if you have chronic liver disease, gallstones, or are on multiple medicines. Stop and seek medical help if you develop signs of allergy. Diabetics: check sugar content in syrup.
No well-established drug interactions reported; however, patients on hepatotoxic drugs, anticoagulants/antiplatelets, antidiabetics, or chronic alcohol use should consult a physician before use.
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep bottle tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
