Sitagliptin reduces the amount of glucose produced by the liver by raising insulin levels and decreasing the levels of glucagon (the hormone that increases blood glucose levels).
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Macsita-D 50/5 Tablet may be taken with or without food.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Macsita D 50/5MG Tab 10S. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
