Natrilam 5 mg Tablet contains Amlodipine 5 mg (as amlodipine besylate) tablet. It belongs to the Calcium channel blocker (dihydropyridine) class of medicines.

How Natrilam 5 mg Tablet works

How to take Natrilam 5 mg Tablet

Oral tablet. Take as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow with water; do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

Do not stop medicine abruptly without doctor advice; regular BP monitoring recommended.

Do not take Natrilam if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with very low blood pressure or with severe narrowing of the aortic valve.

Interactions with other medicines

Other antihypertensives (additive BP lowering), simvastatin (limit simvastatin dose; increased levels), CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., clarithromycin, erythromycin, azole antifungals, ritonavir) may increase amlodipine levels, CYP3A4 inducers (e.g., rifampicin, carbamazepine, phenytoin) may reduce effect, grapefruit juice (may increase levels), tacrolimus/cyclosporine (monitor levels), sildenafil/tadalafil (additive hypotension)

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep in original blister and out of reach of children.
