Take by mouth as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow tablet whole with water; do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose of Newtel 40 Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

Monitor blood pressure, kidney function and serum potassium; risk of hyperkalaemia and hypotension. Seek help for severe dizziness, fainting, swelling of face/lips, or reduced urination.
Do not take Newtel if
Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Must not be used in pregnancy — it can seriously harm the developing baby. Not for people with narrowing of both kidney arteries, or a history of swelling of the face and throat caused by this group of medicines.
Interactions with other medicines
Potassium supplements/salt substitutes, potassium-sparing diuretics (spironolactone/eplerenone/amiloride), ACE inhibitors or aliskiren (increased risk of kidney problems/hyperkalaemia; avoid in diabetes with aliskiren), NSAIDs (reduced effect and kidney risk), lithium (toxicity risk), diuretics (additive hypotension), other antihypertensives
