How Storvas 10 Tablet works
Atorvastatin is an HMG‑CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) that reduces cholesterol synthesis in the liver. This increases LDL receptor activity, lowering LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides and modestly raising HDL, thereby reducing plaque formation and cardiovascular risk.
How to take Storvas 10 Tablet
Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Continue cholesterol-lowering diet and exercise; do not stop without medical advice.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Missed dose and overdose
If you miss a dose
If you miss a dose of Storvas 10 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
If you take too much
An overdose of this medicine is unlikely to cause immediate harm but may increase the risk of muscle and liver injury. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Interactions with other medicines
Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., clarithromycin/erythromycin, azole antifungals, HIV protease inhibitors) and grapefruit juice may increase atorvastatin levels and muscle toxicity risk; ciclosporin increases risk; fibrates (especially gemfibrozil), niacin increase myopathy risk; warfarin may require INR monitoring; digoxin levels may increase; rifampicin and other enzyme inducers may reduce effect.

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), protected from moisture and light. Keep in original strip and out of reach of children.

Storvas 10 Tablet may cause diarrhea, gas, or an upset stomach. If any of these happen to you, please consult with your doctor. Inform your doctor if you experience fatigue, muscle weakness, or muscle pain. Your doctor may check your liver function before starting the treatment and regularly thereafter. Inform your doctor if you notice signs of liver problems, such as stomach pains, unusually dark urine, or yellowing of skin or eyes. Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, or diabetes before starting treatment with this medicine. If you are diabetic, monitor your blood sugar level regularly, as Storvas 10 Tablet may cause an increase in your blood sugar level. Do not take Storvas 10 Tablet if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Storvas 10 Tablet treats high cholesterol by lowering "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides (fats). It should be taken in addition to regular exercise and a low-fat diet.
