How Zabesta Am works

Zabesta-AM Tablet is a combination of two medicines, amlodipine and bisoprolol, which lower blood pressure effectively. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing blood vessels, while bisoprolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate.

How to take Zabesta Am

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zabesta-AM Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Zabesta-AM Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Zabesta Am than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Zabesta Am

Most side effects of Zabesta Am are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

How to store Zabesta Am

Store Zabesta Am below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Expert advice for Zabesta Am

Lowering blood pressure reduces the chance of future heart attacks and strokes. It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor, as it can cause a sudden increase in your blood pressure. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
