Uses of Amlopin 2.5 Tablet

Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), prevention and treatment of chest pain due to angina (chronic stable angina, vasospastic/Prinzmetal angina); helps reduce risk of cardiovascular events related to uncontrolled BP

How it works

Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker. It relaxes and widens blood vessels by blocking calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle, lowering blood pressure and reducing the heart’s workload. It also improves blood flow to the heart muscle to relieve angina.

Directions for use

Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
