Bisoprolol fumarate 2.5 mg (equivalent to Bisoprolol 2.5 mg)
Hypertension (high blood pressure), chronic stable angina (chest pain due to coronary artery disease), chronic heart failure (as part of combination therapy)
Bisoprolol is a cardioselective beta-1 blocker. It reduces heart rate and the force of contraction, lowering blood pressure and myocardial oxygen demand, which helps control angina and supports heart failure management.
Take by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food; swallow tablet with water. Do not stop suddenly—dose should be tapered under medical advice.
Common side effects of BISBETA 2.5 may include:
Do not stop abruptly (risk of worsening angina/arrhythmias). Use with caution in asthma/COPD (may cause bronchospasm), diabetes (can mask hypoglycaemia symptoms), thyroid disorders, peripheral vascular disease, and in patients with conduction disorders (AV block), bradycardia or hypotension. In heart failure, start low and titrate; monitor pulse and BP. Seek urgent care for wheezing, fainting, very slow pulse, or worsening breathlessness/swelling.
