Clopilet 75 Tablet contains Aspirin (75mg) + Clopidogrel (75mg). It belongs to the P2Y12 (ADP) receptor inhibitor class of medicines.

How Clopilet 75 Tablet works

Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet medicine that irreversibly blocks the platelet P2Y12 (ADP) receptor. This reduces platelet activation and aggregation, helping prevent formation of harmful blood clots in arteries.

How to take Clopilet 75 Tablet

Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily, with or without food. Swallow tablet whole with water; take at the same time each day. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice, especially after stent/ACS.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Clopilet A 75 Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause serious and difficult-to-control bleeding. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Side effects of Clopilet 75 Tablet

Most side effects of Clopilet are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

Increases risk of bleeding; seek urgent care for unusual bleeding, black stools, blood in urine, vomiting blood, severe headache/weakness. Inform doctor before surgery/dental procedures. Use caution in liver disease, peptic ulcer, bleeding disorders. Rare: thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) and severe allergic reactions.

Do not take Clopilet if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with active bleeding, a bleeding disorder, or a recent bleed into the brain.

Interactions with other medicines

Aspirin/NSAIDs and other antiplatelets/anticoagulants (warfarin, heparin, DOACs) increase bleeding risk; CYP2C19 inhibitors (omeprazole, esomeprazole) may reduce effect; SSRIs/SNRIs may increase bleeding risk; strong CYP inducers/inhibitors may alter response
