Mprol 25 Tablet contains Metoprolol (25mg).

Uses of Mprol 25 Tablet

• Mprol 25 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of chest pain (angina)
• heart failure and high blood pressure.

How Mprol 25 Tablet works

Mprol 25 mg Tablet is a long-acting beta blocker that works specifically on the heart. It works by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.

How to take Mprol 25 Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mprol 25 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.<br>Avoid Mprol 25 mg Tablet with high-fat meals such as olive oil, nuts & seeds (Brazil nuts), dark chocolate, butter and meat.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Mprol as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Mprol than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Most side effects of Mprol are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
