Uses of Amlovas-At

Treatment of Angina (heart-related chest pain) Treatment of Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Benefits of Amlovas-At

In High blood pressure
Amlovas-At relaxes the muscle in the walls of your arteries so blood flows with less pressure. Keeping blood pressure down protects you from stroke, heart attack and kidney damage over the years.
In Angina
Amlovas-At widens the vessels that supply the heart and eases its workload, so you get fewer episodes of chest pain and can do more before pain comes on.
In Heart failure
Amlovas-At protects a weakened heart from the stress hormones that would otherwise strain it further, improving how well it pumps over time and lowering the risk of hospital admission.
In Irregular heartbeat
Amlovas-At steadies the heart's rhythm and keeps the rate from racing, which eases palpitations and the dizziness or breathlessness that come with them.

How Amlovas-At works

Amlodipine and Atenolol, which lower blood pressure effectively. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker, which works by relaxing blood vessels, while atenolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate. Together, they make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause a severe fall in blood pressure and a dangerously slow or irregular heartbeat. It can cause a dangerously slow heartbeat, a severe fall in blood pressure, wheezing and fits.
