Amlozaar H Tablet contains Losartan (50mg) + Amlodipine (5mg) + Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg).

How Amlozaar H Tablet works

Amlozaar-H Tablet is a combination of three medicines: losartan, amlodipine, and hydrochlorothiazide. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), and amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

How to take Amlozaar H Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amlozaar-H Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Amlozaar-H Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Amlozaar H than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Amlozaar H Tablet

Most side effects of Amlozaar H are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes and heart attacks. It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. Amlozaar-H Tablet may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, muscle weakness, or a dry mouth. Use of Amlozaar-H Tablet during pregnancy or breastfeeding is unsafe.
