Rosuvastatin 5 mg (as rosuvastatin calcium) per film-coated tablet

Uses of Crestor 5MG Tab

Hypercholesterolaemia (high LDL/total cholesterol), mixed dyslipidaemia, familial hypercholesterolaemia, prevention of cardiovascular events (heart attack, stroke) in at-risk patients as advised by doctor

• •Modestly increases HDL (good) cholesterol
• •Helps prevent heart attack and stroke in high-risk patients
• •Slows progression of atherosclerosis

How it works

Rosuvastatin is an HMG‑CoA reductase inhibitor (statin). It reduces cholesterol production in the liver and increases LDL receptor activity, lowering LDL cholesterol and triglycerides while modestly increasing HDL cholesterol. This helps reduce progression of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular risk.

Directions for use

Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; continue diet and exercise advice. Do not stop without medical advice.
