Telmisartan 20 mg
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure); helps reduce risk of cardiovascular events (heart attack/stroke) in high-risk patients as advised by doctor
Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It blocks AT1 receptors, causing blood vessels to relax and widen, which lowers blood pressure and reduces strain on the heart.
Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow with water; do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
Common side effects of TELI 20MG TAB may include:
Avoid use in pregnancy (can harm the unborn baby). Use with caution in kidney disease, liver impairment, dehydration/low blood volume, and in patients with high potassium. Monitor blood pressure, kidney function (creatinine) and serum potassium, especially after starting or dose changes. Seek help for severe dizziness/fainting or signs of angioedema (swelling of face/lips/throat).
