How to take Telsar 20 mg
Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time, with or without food. Swallow with water; do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

If you miss a dose
Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

Monitor kidney function and potassium; risk of hyperkalemia especially in renal impairment/diabetes. Seek help for swelling of face/lips (angioedema) though rare. Not recommended with aliskiren in diabetes; caution in bilateral renal artery stenosis.
Do not take Telsar if
Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Must not be used in pregnancy — it can seriously harm the developing baby. Not for people with narrowing of both kidney arteries, or a history of swelling of the face and throat caused by this group of medicines.
Interactions with other medicines
Potassium supplements/salt substitutes, potassium-sparing diuretics (spironolactone, eplerenone, amiloride), other antihypertensives, NSAIDs (ibuprofen, diclofenac) may reduce effect and worsen kidney function, lithium (increased toxicity), ACE inhibitors or other ARBs (increased renal/hyperkalemia risk), aliskiren
