Amlong MT 50 Tablet PR is used in the treatment of high blood pressure.
Amlong MT 50 Tablet PR is a combination of two medicines: Amlodipine and Metoprolol, which lowers blood pressure effectively. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which works by relaxing blood vessels while metoprolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate. Together, they make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.
Use it as advised by your doctor or check the label for directions before use. Amlong MT 50 Tablet PR is to be taken with food.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Amlong Mt as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Amlong Mt than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Amlong Mt are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

| Alcohol | Taking Metoprolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate. |
| Kidney | Amlong MT 50 Tablet PR is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Amlong MT 50 Tablet PR is recommended. |
| Liver | Amlong MT 50 Tablet PR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Amlong MT 50 Tablet PR may be needed. Please consult your doctor. |

Store Amlong Mt below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
