A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Arbitel Trio 50 Tablet. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Arbitel Trio 50 Tablet contains Cilnidipine (10mg) + Metoprolol Succinate (50mg) + Telmisartan (40mg).
Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Arbitel-Trio 50 Tablet ER is a combination of three medicines: cilnidipine, metoprolol, and telmisartan. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB), and telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Metoprolol is a beta-blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate. They work by different mechanisms to provide better control of blood pressure when single or dual therapy is not effective.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Arbitel-Trio 50 Tablet ER should be taken with or after food.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Arbitel-Trio 50 Tablet ER, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Taking more Arbitel Trio than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Arbitel Trio are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Arbitel Trio. Some combinations can change how Arbitel Trio works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Arbitel Trio below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
Arbitel-Trio 50 Tablet ER is a combination of three medicines that help lower your blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent stroke and heart attack. Take it at the same time every day to help you remember to take it. A sudden drop in your blood pressure may occur, especially when you first start taking this medicine. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. It can cause ankle or foot swelling. Raise your legs while you are sitting down, and talk to your doctor if it does not go away. It may cause the level of potassium in the blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as bananas and broccoli. Do not stop taking Arbitel-Trio 50 Tablet ER suddenly without talking to your doctor.
